Nepalese kids have the right to a free primary school education in Nepal; on the other hand the government does not have the resources to ensure these schools are of a good standard. Mainly 3 big earthquakes collapse and damaged all schools and houses of 17 districts on April and May 2015. In this time people don’t have sufficient money for build house, food, clothing, and schools fees so very difficult send to school. We work with local communities to carry out school improvement projects; building new classrooms, renovating existing ones, building toilet blocks and energy efficient stoves in new kitchens. Collaborating with local people, we transform the school into a welcoming, safe environment for all children. This incredible community-focused volunteering experience allows volunteers to help transform these schools to improve the lives of children in Nepal. The Big Build gives you the chance to see first-hand the impact you're making, get your hands dirty, and spend time with the local community you are transforming.
School Volunteer and Observation of Culture in Nepal
Day 01: Kathmandu-1350m – (D):
Upon Arrival meet, assist and transfer to hotel and welcome drinks. Check-In hotel & briefing about behavior of local people and students, teachers and geographical location then dos and don’ts after that introduction to supporting crews or helping team. Late afternoon at leisure time hike in Thamel, a well-liked tourist area in Kathmandu Valley and busy bazaar which offers a glimpse of Nepal’s lively ethnic culture. Welcome dinner at evening in hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu / School (BLD):
Morning breakfast and drive to School. Upon arrived School welcome ceremony. Lunch will have on the School ground. After lunch introduction to teachers, trekking crew or language translator, cook, kitchen staff and expert worker.
After that, brief about the safety and construction tools. We will do short orientation of construction and working area and demonstrations. Ready to go teaching to local students with translator, it will be until 1600 PM (Saturday is national holiday of Nepal). Enjoy evening dinner at Camp and prepare the next lesson.
Day 03: School-Camp (BLD):
After breakfast ready to Nepalese Lesson-Nepali Language (one hour). Ready to construction, it will be until lunch. After lunch play with Nepali students. After that go to class for teach, it will be 1600pm. At evening you can enjoy yourself like sing a song, Nepali dance, games etc. After dinner reflection of life and goodnight.
Day 04: School-Camp (BLD):
After breakfast ready to Nepali Language-Culture, History (one hour). Ready to construction, it will be until lunch. After lunch play with Nepali students. After that go to class for lesson, it will be 1600pm. At evening you can enjoy yourself like sing a Nepali song, Nepali dance, games etc. After dinner prepare the next day lesson.
Day 05: School-Camp (BLD):
After breakfast ready to Nepali Language-Culture, History (one hour). Ready to construction, it will be until lunch. After lunch play with Nepali students. After that go to class for lesson, it will be 1600pm. At evening you can enjoy yourself like sing a Nepali song, Nepali dance, games etc (if you interesting). Enjoy your evening dinner then reflection of life.
Day 06: School-Camp (BLD):
After breakfast ready to Nepali Language-Culture, History (one hour). Ready to construction, it will be until lunch. After lunch play with Nepali students. After that go to class for lesson, it will be 16:00pm. At evening you can enjoy yourself like sing a Nepali song, Nepali dance, games etc. After dinner prepare the next day lesson.
Note: Saturday is national holidaying of Nepal, at that day visit cultural village for knowing / observation their lifestyle.
Day 07: School-Camp (BLD):

Day 10: School (BLD):

After that go to class for lesson, it will be 1600pm. At evening you can enjoy yourself like sing a Nepali song, Nepali dance, games etc. After dinner enjoys camp fire with Nepalese songs, dances perform by trekking crews and sharing the cultural dances.
Day 11: School / Kathmandu (BLD):
After breakfast ready to Nepali Language-Culture, History (one hour). Today end the construction, wash up, and clean up where you stay during the camping. After lunch farewell program. After that ready back to Kathmandu. Upon reached Kathmandu check-in room and dinner at hotel.
Day 12: Kathmandu (BLD):
After breakfast ready to visit Bouddhanath Stupa, One of the World’s biggest Stupa built in the 5ht century. It looms 36meters tall and present one of the most charming specimens of Stupa design with hundreds of prayer wheels, and 108 small images of Buddha all around. After that, visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and if you are lucky, you will see a glimpse of the famous Kumari, the Worlds’ only living Goddess. There you will see Nepali styles temples (Shikhara and Pagoda style), beautiful stone art and wooden art and architecture at around Palace. Lunch will be in the city center.
Late afternoon walk around Asan Tol, It is one of the most famous historical locations in the city and is famous for its bazaar, festival calendar and strategic location the bazaar magnetism shoppers from all over Kathmandu because of the different verity of products sold here, ranging from foodstuffs, spices and textiles to electronics and gold. At evening enjoy a farewell dinner by Eco Venture Treks with Nepali cultural performance.
Day 13: Kathmandu: Departure (B):
Morning breakfast, check-out hotel and transfer to Airport for fly-out according to your flight schedule.
